Release Highlights

Missed Rentals

The ability to capture missed rental opportunities has been added to Texada Web! This feature allows you to keep track of potential rental opportunities that fell through, including the reason why the rental was missed and the value of the lost rental or sale.

To submit a missed rental, click the “Missed Rental” button in one of the following locations:

  • To the right of the search bar on the Contract List page
  • To the right of the search bar in the Products tab of the Create/Edit Contract page
  • In the bottom-left corner of the Create/Edit Contract page

This will open the Missed Rental Transactions window, which will allow you to input a Customer, Division, date, Product or Group information, and estimated value for the missed rental.

Enter Purchase Order Information on Re-Rent

When adding a re-rental Product to a Contract, it is now possible to add the Product to an existing Purchase Order, or generate a new Purchase Order for the re-rental.

After creating a Contract containing a re-rental Product, the Purchase Order Information window will open automatically. This window allows you to enter information such as Vendor number, PO #, notes, rates and discount information, and shipping information. After submitting this information, the Purchase Order will be linked to the Contract for reference.

Product to a Contract. In Texada Web, this prompt will only appear after the Contract is created. This is to accommodate Texada Web’s Contract drafting feature.

This feature will only be activated if the User has the Contract - Create Linked Purchase Order permission, and the Product added to the Contract has Create PO from Contracts enabled.

Description

LP-6528

A number of improvements have been made to the way that Divisions and Locations are handled in Texada Web when “Operators by Division” is enabled in Texada SRM:

  • When a User with access to multiple Divisions logs in to Texada Web, a window will pop up allowing them to select which Division they would like to work in for the current session. This will default to the last Division the User selected.
  • When a User accesses Texada Web from Texada Mobile or Texada SRM, their current Division will be remembered and used in the same manner as if the User had selected it when logging in to Texada Web directly.
  • Whenever a User accesses a page featuring a Division selector, the Division will default to the Division the User chose upon logging in.
  • Whenever a User accesses a page featuring a Location selector, the selector’s default value will be determined by the User’s current Division as well as their “Prompt For Location” value.

When a re-rental Product is added to a Contract, the User will now be prompted to enter Purchase Order information for the re-rental, including Vendor number, PO number, notes, shipping information, rates or discount percentage, and PO cost.

Using this feature, the Product can be added to an existing Purchase Order, or a new Purchase Order can be generated for the re-rental.

LP-6085

Temporary draft Contracts are now created automatically while the User is filling out information on the Create Contract screen. This feature has 2 purposes:

  • To update Asset availability in real-time
  • To automatically save Contract information in case the User is disconnected from Texada Web

If the User chooses to save a draft when navigating away from the Create Contract page, or if the User navigates away from the Create Contract page without selecting an option, a permanent draft will be created from the temporary one and will become available from the Contract Draft List page. If the User chooses not to save a draft, the temporary draft will be deleted.
