Common Problems and Questions

I have too many work and personal calendars so I end up missing events and calls!

How can I view scheduled events like Sales Calls and Tasks in a calendar?

Handle’s Solution

Handle’s iCal integration lets you view any of your external calendars like Outlook or Google right in your Handle.

You can also view your Sales Calls and Tasks in your Handle Calendar or add them to your Google or Outlook Calendars.

Pinning Your Calendar

If you want easy access to your Handle calendar, click the pin icon (1) in your right hand navigation – this will pin the calendar in a convenient small tab on top (2).

Adding a Feed to your Handle Calendar

Step 1: By default your calendar is empty. To add a feed, or saved search, to your calendar simply open it, right click (1), and select “copy calendar URL” (2).

Step 2: Return to your calendar tab, click on the gear icon (1) to open your settings, and click on the plus button (2) next to My Calendars.

Step 3: Give your your new feed a name (1), paste the URL you just copied (2), select a display color, and click save.

Your new feed will appear under My Calendar. To view it, select the check box (1). If you want to edit the name, update the URL or change the color click on the edit, or pencil, icon (2). To delete this feed click on the “X”.

Adding your Google Calendar to Handle

Step 1: To add one of your google calendars to your Handle, open it in your browser.

In the left navigation bar, under My Calendars, find the one you want to add to your Handle.

Step 2: Hover to the right of it and click on the options icon (1), then select settings and sharing (2).

Step 3: Click on Integrate Calendar on your left, or scroll down to that section.

Step 4: Copy the URL in the “Secret address in iCal format” box.

Step 5: Go back to your Handle calendar, click on the plus icon next to my calendars, and add it just like the feed we did earlier when adding Activities.

Adding your Outlook calendar to Handle

Step 1: Open your outlook web, go to Settings (1), the select “View all Outlook settings” (2).

Step 2: Select Calendar (1), then select Shared Calendars (2). Copy the ICS code at the bottom (3).

Step 3: Go back to your Handle calendar and repeat the process from adding a feed and adding a Google calendar.

Viewing a Feed as a Calendar

Step 1: Select a feed (saved search), click on the gear icon top open options. Open the drop down menu next to “View” (1), and select Calendar (2).

Step 2: If you want to keep a feed in calendar view, just click on the save button below. Now every time you open that feed it will be as a calendar, until you change it.

You will also see any other calendars or feeds you’ve added previously as options to view here.

Adding Handle Feeds to Your Google Calendar

You can view Handle feeds in external calendars, like google or outlook.

Step 1: Go to the feed tab you want to share, right click and select “copy calendar URL” (1-2)

Step 2: Go to your google calendar. On the left hand side you will see “Other Calendars.” To the right you’ll find the Add icon – click on it (1) and select “from URL” (2).

Step 3: Paste the Handle URL into the field (1) and Add Calendar (2).
