Calendar Sync with Microsoft 365
How to synchronize your Handle calendar with Microsoft 365.
Calendar Sync with Microsoft 365
One of Handle’s important features is the calendar sync with Office 365.
This feature is similar to the Exchange integration that used to sync with Outlook, but it’s designed for people who have switched to Microsoft 365.
- Options – Sync calendar, contacts, and or tasks
- Setup – Link your Microsoft 365 account
- Automation – Runs every hour
How it Works
The calendar sync automatically runs in the background every hour. Any Sales Calls scheduled inside of Handle will be loaded into your Outlook calendar and displayed on your mobile device calendar as well as your desktop.
This works not only in the Outlook native app, but also in the web version of Outlook 365.
How to Set it Up
This feature needs to first be turned on on your Handle server. For that to happen, we need to understand whether you want to sync your calendar and/or contacts and tasks.
Once we know your preferences, there’s a small configuration that needs to be put into place and the user needs to link their Microsoft account to their Handle account.
- Your IT needs to authorize the automation (see the how to article here)
- CustomerTRAX configures your settings
- Users link their Microsoft 365 account
- Sync automatically runs every hour
How does the user connect with their Microsoft account?
- Log into into Handle.
- Select the option to connect your Microsoft account if you haven’t done it yet.
- In the popup, select your Microsoft 365 login.
That’s it! Once set up, the user’s account is connected and syncing automatically with an individual user permission.
Users can sync their calendar back and forth, as well as contacts and tasks, if they have access or if they want to sync those things.
And when a user logs into the Handle application, they will be able to use this sign in with Microsoft and go directly into the application without having to retype in their username and password.
Special Rules
- A Sales Call must have an Account and a Title in order to sync
- Calls with a Completed status do not sync or update
