Product Access

An overview of the Products Access page in the GateWay Administration Panel.

Quick Reference

• A restriction is a list of GateWay Product categories that a User can see and purchase from your eCommerce website. The Product Access screen allows you to create and manage restrictions. To reach this screen, select Users → Product Access in the left navigation menu.
• Click the “Create Restriction” button on the right side of the Product Access screen to create a new restriction. Click the eye icon next to an existing restriction to view, or the pencil icon to edit it. This will open the Create / Edit / View Restriction window.
  • Check the checkbox next to a category to give Users with this restriction the ability to view Products of that category on your eCommerce website. Click the down arrow next to a category to view its subcategories.

Introduction

The Product Access screen allows you to create and manage restrictions. A restriction is a list of GateWay Product categories that a User can see and purchase from your eCommerce website. Once a restriction has been created, it can be applied to GateWay Users via the User List screen. Use this feature to tightly control which Products each User is able to view and create a customized experience for each User.

To reach the Product Access screen, select Users → Product Access in the left navigation menu.

Product Access

1. Restriction
   Existing restrictions are listed here.
2. View Restriction
   Click the eye icon next to a restriction to view it. See “Create / Edit / View Restriction” for more information.
3. Edit Restriction
   Click the pencil icon next to a restriction to edit it. See “Create / Edit / View Restriction” for more information.
4. Delete Restriction
   Click the bin icon next to a restriction to delete it. This will remove the restriction from any Users to which it had previously been assigned.
5. Create Restriction Button
   Click to create a new restriction. See “Create / Edit / View Restriction” for more information.

Create / Edit / View Restriction

Click the “Create Restriction” button on the right side of the Product Access screen to create a new restriction. Click the eye icon next to an existing restriction to view, or the pencil icon to edit it. This will open the Create / Edit / View Restriction window.

1. Restriction Name
   The restriction’s name. This is the name that will appear in the Product Access drop-down on the Create / Edit User page.
2. Category
   GateWay Product categories are listed here. Check the checkbox next to a category to give Users with this restriction the ability to view Products of that category on your eCommerce website. Click the down arrow next to a category to view its subcategories.
3. Cancel Button
   Click to cancel your changes.
4. Save Button
   Click to save your changes.
