Marketing Codes

An overview of the Marketing Codes page in the GateWay Administration Panel.

Quick Reference

• A marketing code is a short repeatable message that can be assigned to a Product Category via the Create / Edit Category page. You can manage marketing codes in the GateWay Administration Panel via the Marketing Codes page located at Inventory → Marketing Code.
• Click the “Create Marketing Code” button in the top-right corner of the Marketing Codes page to create a new marketing code. Click the pencil icon next to an existing marketing code to edit it. 

Introduction

The Marketing Codes page in the GateWay Administration Panel allows you to manage marketing codes for your products. A marketing code is a short repeatable message that can be assigned to a Product Category via the Create / Edit Category page. Use this feature to provide visitors to your website with additional information about your products without needing to update each product individually. 

To reach the Marketing Codes page, select Inventory → Marketing Code in the left navigation menu.

Marketing Codes

1. Create Marketing Code Button
   Click to create a new marketing code. See “Create / Edit Marketing Code” for more information.
2. Marketing Code
   Existing marketing codes are listed here. The appearance of this table can be modified; see “Working with Tables” for more information.
3. Edit Marketing Code
   Click the pencil icon next to a marketing code to edit it. See “Create / Edit Marketing Code” for more information.
4. Delete Marketing Code
   Click the bin icon next to a marketing code to delete it.

Create / Edit Marketing Code

Click the “Create Marketing Code” button in the top-right corner of the Marketing Codes page to create a new marketing code. Click the pencil icon next to an existing marketing code to edit it. This will open the Create / Edit Marketing Code screen.

1. Marketing Code Name
   The marketing code’s name. This is the name that appears in the Marketing Code drop-down on the Create / Edit Category page and is not seen anywhere on your website.
2. Marketing Code Body
   The contents of the marketing code. Marketing codes support most HTML elements, including different text formats, images, and embedded media.
3. Cancel Button
   Click to cancel your changes.
4. Save Button
   Click to save your changes.
