How to edit a customer order in Texada WorkFlow.
Quick Reference
- The Edit Order window is used whenever you edit a customer order (contract) in Texada WorkFlow.
- There are a number of ways of reaching the Edit Order window:
- From the Customer Orders screen:
- Click the blue pencil icon next to an order in the Orders table.
- From the Asset Planning screen:
- Click the blue pencil icon next to an order in the Orders table.
- Click on an order in the timeline to open its details, then click “Go To Customer Order”.
- From the Customer Orders screen:
- The Edit Order window comprises four tabs:
- Edit Tab: Allows you to view and edit information about the order. Includes six subscreens:
- Order Info: Contains basic information about the order.
- Address: Contains the jobsite address.
- Documents: Contains additional documents attached to the order.
- State: Contains the order’s current state.
- Dates: Contains the order’s start and completion dates.
- Notes: Contains additional notes about the order.
- Order Lines Tab: Lists the order’s order lines and allows you to attach new equipment, hauling orders, and work orders.
- Click on an order line to view its attached orders.
- Click “Add New Equipment” to add a new piece of equipment to the order.
- Check the checkbox next to an order line to select it. You can then use the “Attach Hauling Order” or “Attach Work Order” buttons to attach an order to that piece of equipment.
- Click the blue pencil icon next to an order line to edit it.

- Click the refresh icon next to an order line to replace one piece of equipment with another.
- Attached Hauling Orders Tab: Lists the hauling orders (delivery and pickup) attached to the order, and allows you to create new ones.
- Click “Attach Delivery” or “Attach Pickup” to generate a new hauling order.
- Click the blue pencil icon next to a hauling order to edit it.
- Attached Work Orders Tab: Lists the work orders attached to the order.
- Click the blue pencil icon next to a work order to edit it.

Introduction
The following article will detail the process of editing an order in Texada WorkFlow, and provide an overview of the contents of the Edit Order window.
Edit an Order
There are a number of ways to reach the Edit Order screen from Texada WorkFlow:
Customer Orders
Starting from the Customer Orders screen, click the blue pencil icon next to an order in the Orders table to edit it.
Asset Planning Screen
Starting from the Asset Planning screen, click the blue pencil icon next to an order in the Orders table to edit it.
Alternatively, if you are viewing an item in the asset planning timeline, you can click the “Go To Customer Order” button in the top-left corner of the window to edit the item’s parent order.
The Edit Order Window
The Edit Order window comprises four tabs, Edit, Order Lines, Attached Hauling Order and Attached Work Orders. The Edit tab is further subdivided into six subscreens.
- Edit Tab
Allows you to view and edit information about the order. - Order Lines Tab
Lists the order’s order lines and allows you to attach new equipment, hauling orders, and work orders. - Attached Hauling Orders Tab
Lists the hauling orders (delivery and pickup) attached to the order, and allows you to create new ones. - Attached Work Orders Tab
Lists the work orders attached to the order. - Save & Switch State Button
Click to save your changes and change the status of the order. This button will only be visible if you have sufficient permissions. - Save Button
Click to save your changes and close the Edit Order window.
Edit - Order Info
This panel contains basic information about the order.
- Quote No
The quote number of the quote associated with the order, if any. - Purchase Orders
The purchase order number(s) of the purchase order(s) associated with the order, if any. Multiple purchase order numbers can be entered; separate each number with a comma. - Customer
The customer for which the order is being completed. Click the drop-down to reveal a list of customers and a search bar. - Priority
The order’s priority - high, standard, or low. - Probability
The probability of the order being successful - low, medium, high, or signed (already successful). - Description
A description of the equipment on the order. - Comments
Any additional comments about the order. - Station
The station to which the order is assigned. Click the drop-down to reveal a list of stations and a search bar. - Planned Start Date
The date and time at which the order was scheduled to be started. This field is read-only. - Planned End Date
The date and time at which the order was scheduled to be completed. This field is read-only. - Actual Start Date
The actual date and time at which the order was started. This field is read-only. - Actual End Date
The actual date and time at which the order was completed. This field is read-only.
Edit - Address
This panel contains the order’s address.
- Contact Name
The name of the customer contact for this order. - Contact Phone
The contact’s phone number. - Contact Email
The contact’s email address. - Jobsite
The ID of this order’s jobsite. - Jobsite Name
The name of this order’s jobsite. - Street Address 1
The first line of the jobsite’s street address. - Street Address 2
The second line of the jobsite’s street address. - City
The jobsite’s city. - State/Province
The jobsite’s state or province. - Postal Code
The jobsite’s postal or zip code. - Country
The jobsite’s country. Click the drop-down to reveal a list of countries and a search bar. - Additional Instructions
Any additional information about the jobsite or instructions for reaching the jobsite.
Edit - Documents
This panel allows you to upload supplemental documents to the customer order.
- Upload Area
Drag and drop a file into the upload area to add it to the order. Alternatively, click “Click to browse” to open the file manager and select a file to upload. - Filename
Click on a file’s name to preview it. This only works with image files. - Download File
Click the cloud icon next to a file to download it. - Delete File
Click the bin icon next to a file to remove it from the order.
Edit - State
This panel allows you to view the order’s current state and modify its sub-type.
- State
The order’s current status. This value is read-only. - Order Sub-Type
The order’s sub-type (service, contract, reservation, or sale).
Edit - Dates
This panel allows you to view the order’s expected start and end dates.
- Expected Start Date
The date on which the order is planned to start. This value is read-only. - Expected End Date
The date on which the order is planned to be completed. This value is read-only.
Edit - Notes
This panel allows you to attach additional notes to the order. Multiple notes can be added to a single order.
- Expand/Collapse Note
Click the up/down arrow / to expand or collapse a note. - Comment
The contents of the note. - Delete Comment
Click the bin icon to delete a note. - Add Note Button
Click to add an additional note to the order.
Order Lines
This tab contains an overview of the order lines included on your order.
- Add New Equipment Button
Click to add new equipment to the order. For more information, see “Add Equipment”. - Attach Hauling Order
After selecting at least one piece of equipment (5), click this button to create a new hauling order (pickup or delivery) for the equipment selected. See “Edit Hauling Order” (article forthcoming) for more information. - Attach Work Order
After selecting at least one piece of equipment (5), click this button to create a new work order for the equipment selected. See “Edit Work Order” (article forthcoming) for more information. - Order Line
Click on an order line to view its attached orders (8). - Select Order Line
Check the checkbox next to an order line to select it. You can then use the “Attach Hauling Order” or “Attach Work Order” buttons to attach an order to that piece of equipment. - Edit Order Line
Click the blue pencil icon next to an order line to edit it. See “Edit Order Line” for more information. - Replace Equipment Icon
Click the refresh icon next to an order line to replace one piece of equipment with another. See “Add Equipment” for more information. - Attached Orders
Once you have clicked on an order line (4), its attached work orders and hauling orders will be displayed.
Attached Hauling Orders
This tab lists the hauling orders (pickup and delivery) attached to the order.
- Attach Delivery Button
Click to automatically generate a delivery order. - Attach Pickup Button
Click to automatically generate a pickup order. - Edit Order
Click the blue pencil icon next to a hauling order to edit it. See “Edit Hauling Order” (article forthcoming) for more information.
Attached Work Orders
This tab lists the work orders attached to the order.
