What is TIS?
The Texada Identity Service (TIS) is a new login service that will allow Texada users to access all of their solutions using a single set of credentials. TIS is currently being rolled out for a number of products including SRM and Web, and will eventually be supported by Texada’s entire product suite.
All Texada rental users will be affected by this change. TIS will be free to all existing Texada customers.
Because access to Texada Web is necessary for logging in with TIS, we will be enabling Texada Web for all rental customers that do not yet have access to this tool.
What is Texada Web?
Texada Web is Texada’s state-of-the-art rental solution, designed to provide much of the same functionality as Texada SRM with a sleek, modern user interface and a focus on counter operations and mobile integration.
Texada SRM and Texada Web are fully integrated with one another, meaning you can switch effortlessly between the two with no loss of data.
What are the timelines?
As of November 2024, TIS is available for rental customers. Your organization’s Texada system administrator can now start inviting users to TIS.
The legacy login system will be disabled in the coming months. From now until the legacy system is disabled is a grace period where you can access Texada rental products using either system.
Once the legacy login system is disabled, TIS will be necessary to access Texada products.
I’m a standard Texada user. How do I make the switch to TIS?
The process of switching over to TIS depends on whether or not your organization uses an identity provider (IdP) to access Texada products. An IdP is a third-party service, such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory or Okta, which you use to login in lieu of Texada’s native authentication system.
Use the buttons below to jump to the guide relevant to your organization:
Using Texada Accounts
If your organization uses Texada's native authentication system, your Texada system administrator will email you a TIS welcome package prompting you to activate your account and set a new password. This welcome package will include two emails:
- Verify your email
This email is for activating your TIS account. Open this email and click the “Confirm my account” link. - Reset your password
This email is for setting a new TIS password. Open this email and click the “click here” link, then follow the instructions to set a new password to use when logging in with TIS.
Once you have activated your account and set a new password, you’re ready to start logging in with TIS. The login URLs for TIS-enabled systems are as follows:
Production environment: app.texadasoftware.com
Play environment: play.texadasoftware.com
It is highly recommended to bookmark these addresses for ease of access.
Using an IdP
If your organization uses an external identity provider (IdP) such as Microsoft Entra / Azure to manage Texada accounts, your Texada system administrator will be responsible for configuring your IdP to communicate with Texada. This configuration will not affect your current login process.
I haven’t gotten an invitation to join TIS. What do I do?
If your administrator hasn’t sent you a TIS welcome package, you can reset your password manually.
- Open your web browser and navigate to one of the following URLs, based on which environment you want to work in:
- Production environment: app.texadasoftware.com
- Play environment: play.texadasoftware.com
- Enter your email address and click “Next”, then select a tenant and click “Confirm”.
- On the following screen, click “Forgot your password?” Enter your email address again, then click “Reset Password”. A password reset email will be sent to the address you submitted. Follow the instructions in this email to reset your password and activate your account.
