How to activate the Texada Identity Service (TIS) for Texada WorkFlow.

In This Article

Introduction

The information in this document is intended for IT managers and other administrators responsible for migrating their organization to TIS. If you are a regular Texada WorkFlow user, you do not need to take any actions based on the contents of this document.

The Texada Identity Service (TIS) is a new login service that will allow Texada users to access all of their solutions using a single set of credentials. TIS is currently being rolled out for a number of products including WorkFlow, and will eventually be supported by Texada’s entire product suite.

The following article will detail the process of successfully transitioning your organization to TIS.

How Do I Activate TIS For My Organization?

Activating TIS for your organization involves configuring your identity provider (IdP) to communicate with Texada, as well as making some additional configurations within WorkFlow. To complete this process, you will need access to your IdP’s dashboard as well as the User Management screen in WorkFlow.

To activate TIS for your organization, follow the steps below.

Please contact Texada support once you are ready to transition to TIS. This will enable us to complete our configurations in a timely manner as well as provide assistance with the migration.

1. Add Email Addresses for all WorkFlow Users

Because TIS authenticates users using their email address, each user in your WorkFlow system must have a valid email address in order to use TIS.

  1. Log in to Texada WorkFlow and navigate to Users and Roles → User Management in the left navigation menu.
  2. Observe the “Email” column in the user table. Each WorkFlow user must have a valid address in this column in order to use TIS. If you see a user with a missing or invalid email address, click the user’s row to edit their information.
  3. In the Edit System User window, add a valid email address into the Email field, then click “Save” to save the user. Repeat this process until every WorkFlow user has a valid email address.

2. Configure Your IdP & Provide Information to Texada Software

The next step involves updating your IdP such that it is able to communicate with the Texada Identity Service. To learn how to do this, click the button that corresponds to the IdP your organization uses.

Each of these guides contains a section titled “Provide Information to Texada Software”. Once you have finished configuring your IdP, make sure to contact your Texada support representative with the information listed in that section of the guide. This will enable Texada to complete your configuration.

3. Final Configuration and Testing

Once we have received your IdP information from step 2, final configurations will be performed by Texada. Your support representative will inform you when configurations are complete and will help you test that your connection to TIS is working properly.
