Manage - Opportunity Source

An overview of the Manage - Opportunity Source secured module in SalesLink - Executive.

Quick Reference

  • The Manage - Opportunity Source secured module in SalesLink - Executive allows you to manage the list of possible Sources for SalesLink Opportunities. To access this module, log in to SalesLink - Executive and navigate to Settings (gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen) → Manage - Opportunity Source.
  • Click the “Add” button in the top-right corner of the Opportunity Source table to add a new Opportunity Source. This will insert a blank row at the top of the table. Enter a name and select a Source System, Source Group, and Display value for the new Source, then click “Save” to save your changes.
  • Click the “Edit” button next to an existing Source to edit it. Depending on the Source’s properties, the fields you will be able to edit will differ. Once you are finished, click the “Save” button to save your changes.
  • Click the “Delete” button next to an existing Source to delete it. This button will only appear for Sources with 0 associated Opportunities.

Introduction

The Manage - Opportunity Source secured module in SalesLink - Executive allows you to manage the list of possible Sources for SalesLink Opportunities.

To access this module, log in to SalesLink - Executive and navigate to Settings (gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen) → Manage - Opportunity Source. Access to this screen is controlled via Secured Modules - if you do not see this option in your Settings menu, contact your CloudLink administrator.

Manage - Opportunity Source

  1. Opportunity Source Table
    Existing SalesLink Opportunity Sources are listed here. Click on a column header to sort the table by that column.
  2. Opportunity Source
    Each Opportunity Source appears as a row in the table and includes the following information:
    1. Source: The Source’s name.
    2. Source System: The system from which Opportunities of this Source originate (SalesLink, Cat Integration, OLGA, etc.) 
    3. Source Group: The Source’s group. 
    4. Display: Indicates whether or not this Source will appear as an option in “Source” drop-downs throughout SalesLink (for example, the Opportunity Pipeline).
    5. Opportunities: The current number of Opportunities with this Source.
    6. Changed By: The username of the user who last edited this Source, and the date on which it was last edited. 
  3. Add Button
    Click to add a new Opportunity Source. See “Add Opportunity Source” for more information.
  4. Edit Button
    Click to edit an Opportunity Source. Clicking this button once will change the “Edit” button to a “Save” button and a “Cancel” button; click these buttons to save or reject your changes, respectively. Depending on the Source’s properties, the fields you will be able to edit will differ:
    1. Source: This field will only be editable for user-created Sources. System Sources (such as “CAT Leads”) cannot be changed.
    2. Source System: This field will only be editable for user-created Sources. System Sources (such as “CAT Leads”) cannot be changed.
    3. Source Group: This field will always be editable.
    4. Display: This field will only be editable if there are 0 Opportunities for the Source - Sources with Opportunities cannot be hidden.
  5. Delete Button
    Click to delete a Source. This button will only appear for Sources with 0 Opportunities - Sources with Opportunities cannot be deleted.

Add Opportunity Source

Click the Add button in the top-right corner of the Opportunity Source table to add a new Opportunity Source. This will insert a blank row at the top of the table.

Enter a name and select a Source System, Source Group, and Display value for the new Source, then click “Save” to save your changes. Click “Cancel” to close without saving.
