iMACS - CSQ Import Troubleshooting
What to do when experiencing issues with iMACS’ CSQ import.
Introduction
Caterpillar’s CSQ Export Quote functionality was retired on July 18th, 2020. At that time, Caterpillar advised users to set up a CSQ web service connection to pull quote information directly from CSQ (this includes all the information available within the export function as well as additional information included in the CSQ quote).
If your organization has not yet set up a CSQ web service, you will not be able to use iMACS’ CSQ import functionality. The following article describes how to complete this process.
How To Set Up A CSQ Web Service
- Ensure that you have received a non-expiring CWS ID from Caterpillar
In order to set up a CSQ web service connection, your organization will need to work with Global IT to obtain a token known as a non-expiring CWS ID. This is a 64-character string of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. For additional information, see https://catdealer.com/csqhelp, under CSQ Dealer Admin → CSQ Web Services.
Global IT help can be contacted in the following ways:- Telephone: 877-737-2242 or 309-494-4357
- Email: Global_IT_Help@cat.com
- Update the “CQQ API Password” key in CloudLink Console
Once you have received the CWS ID from Global IT, it must be entered into CloudLink Console.- Log in to CloudLink Console and select Configuration → Config Keys from the left navigation menu.
- Search for the CSQ API Password (iMACs.Project.CsqAPI.Password) configuration key and open it.
- Paste the CWS ID you obtained from Global IT into the “Running Value” field, then click “Update” to save your changes.
For more information on managing configuration keys in CloudLink Console, see “Manage Configuration Keys”.
- Run the CSQ Import
Once the CSQ API Password has been updated, it is time to re-run the CSQ import and verify that it was successful. If you are still experiencing issues at this time, please contact Texada support.
