Texada is thrilled to announce the arrival of Sales Assistant, an AI-powered speech-to-text tool for SalesLink Flex that allows sales reps to log activities in the blink of an eye!
Tracking sales activities is important work, but it can also be time-consuming, requiring your reps to recall and enter lots of small, often repetitious data points. Sales Assistant solves this problem by allowing reps to dictate activities as they would to a real assistant – one capable of turning a short, plain-language statement into a detailed sales activity!
Read on to learn more about how Sales Assistant can help your reps reclaim precious selling time and cement your dealer’s competitive edge!
Logging activities is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Step 1: Open Sales Assistant and start talking!
To get started, simply tap the new Assistant icon at the bottom of the screen. Once you’re ready to start talking, tap the microphone icon
and tell the Sales Assistant about your activity. Include the same information you would enter when submitting an activity manually, such as the contact’s name and company, and the type and purpose of the interaction.
Your delivery doesn’t need to be perfect! Talk to the Sales Assistant as if you were having a regular conversation – it’s capable of generating accurate results even if the terms you use don’t exactly match what’s in the application, and if it’s unsure about anything you said, it will ask you follow-up questions to clarify.
Step 2: Confirm and correct
Once you’ve finished speaking, the Sales Assistant will automatically generate a complete activity using the information you provided. Notice how it correctly interprets “Bobby from Apple con” as Robert Patterson from Apple Construction, and uses context clues to fill in details such as the activity’s start and end times, type, and purpose.
If you have any issues with the activity the Assistant generated, just say so! It will quickly update the activity’s details based on your feedback.
Step 3: Save and review
Once you’re happy with the activity’s details, simply say so, and the Sales Assistant will save it – you’ll see a green check mark to let you know the operation was a success. You can now tap “View Activity” to see your activity, or “Add Another Activity” to submit another one!
Scheduling activities
Sales Assistant isn’t just for logging completed activities. It can be used to schedule upcoming activities as well!
The process is exactly the same – simply open the Assistant and start talking. Tell it the who, when, and what of the activity you’d like to complete, and it will schedule an outstanding activity using the information you provided.
In the example below, notice how the assistant knows to ask for a customer name as one wasn’t provided in the original request!
Enabling Sales Assistant
Sales Assistant is available for all TexadaOne customers. There are two requirements to get this feature up and running:
- SalesLink Flex must be updated to version 3.0.0 or higher.
- SalesLink Flex must have permission to access your microphone.
Check your SalesLink Flex version number
Sales Assistant is available as of SalesLink Flex version 3.0.0. If you have automatic updates enabled, this version will be automatically downloaded as soon as it’s available.
You can check your current SalesLink Flex version from the “More” screen:
Give SalesLink Flex permission to access your microphone
In order for Sales Assistant to work, SalesLink Flex must be given permission to access the microphone on your smart device.
The application should automatically prompt you for this permission the first time you tap the microphone icon . If you’re having trouble getting this prompt to appear, you can manually enable microphone access.
