A Work Order estimate is a pre-Work Order document that allows counter operators to draft a Work Order and share its potential cost with the customer without affecting inventory or committing to performing work. Once a Work Order estimate has been approved, it can be converted to a regular Work Order.

Creating a Work Order Estimate

To create a new Work Order estimate in Texada Web, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to Texada Web and select Work Orders → Create Work Order Estimate from the left navigation menu. This will open the Create Work Order Estimate screen, where you can fill out all the information for your estimate.

  2. Fill out your Work Order estimate. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk . In order to create a Work Order estimate, you must at least select a Division, Location, and Customer. 
  3. Once you have entered all of the information for your estimate, click the “Create Work Order Estimate” button in the bottom-right corner of the screen to save your changes and return to the Work Order List. If creation was successful, you will receive a message that reads “Work Order Estimate created successfully! View #[Work Order number]”. Click on this message to view and edit your Work Order estimate.
