An overview of the Customer Owned Asset List page in Texada Web.
Customer-owned Assets are an optional feature and are disabled by default.
To enable customer-owned Assets, check the "Customer Owned Equipment" checkbox in the Inventory Parameters utility in Texada SRM. For more information, see "Customer Owned Assets".
Quick Reference
- The Customer Owned Asset List page in Texada Web allows you to browse all of the customer-owned Assets currently in your system. To reach this page, select Inventory → Customer Owned from the left navigation menu.
- Use the controls at the top of the page to filter the list of customer-owned Assets.
- Click on a customer-owned Asset to view and edit it.
- Click the “Add New Customer Owned” button in the bottom-right corner of the page to create a new customer-owned Asset.
Introduction
A customer-owned Asset is an Asset that is owned by one of your customers instead of your organization. Customer-owned Assets allow you to create Work Orders for Assets without registering them to your organization’s inventory.
The Customer Owned Asset List page in Texada Web allows you to browse all of the customer-owned Assets currently in your system. To reach this page, select Inventory → Customer Owned from the left navigation menu.

Begin typing into the search bar to filter the list of customer-owned Assets by the text entered. This will search by Product #, Model, Customer #, Equipment #, and Barcodes. - View Manager

Customer Owned Asset Table - Columns
The Customer Owned Asset Table comprises the following columns:
- Product #: The Asset’s Product number. In cases where an Asset owned by your organization was sold to a Customer, this will be the Asset’s Product number from when it was in your organization’s inventory. When creating a customer-owned Asset from scratch, this value can be set freely, though it cannot be the same as an existing Product in your system.
- Product Description: A brief description of the Asset.
- Manufacturer: The Asset’s manufacturer.
- Model: The Asset’s model number.
- Customer #: The Customer # of the Customer that owns the Asset.
- Customer Name: The name of the Customer that owns the Asset.
- Equipment #: The Asset’s unique ID. Equivalent to the Equipment ID field in Texada SRM. Equipment #s are generated by the system at the time of the Asset’s creation and cannot be changed. Customer-owned Asset Equipment #s are in the format C-##########, the “C” indicating “Customer”.
- Customer Equipment ID: The Asset’s ID in the Customer’s system. Equivalent to the External/Customer ID field in Texada SRM. This field is useful for cross-referencing Assets with your Customers’ inventory systems.
- Serial #: The Asset’s serial number.
- Equipment Type: The type of equipment (boom, telehandler, etc.)
- Invoice #: For Assets previously owned by your organization that were sold to a Customer, the number of the Invoice associated with the sale of the Asset to the Customer.
- Extended Warranty: Indicates whether or not the Asset has an extended warranty (Y/N).
- Full Service Contract Number: The Contract number of the Asset’s full service Contract in your system, if applicable.
- PM Contract Number: The Contract number of the Asset’s preventative maintenance (PM) Contract in your system, if applicable.
- Date Sold: For Assets previously owned by your organization that were sold to a Customer, the date on which the Asset was sold to the Customer.
- Barcodes: The Asset’s barcode number.
- Reference Group Number: The Group in your system associated with the Asset. This Group’s properties will be used as a reference when creating preventative maintenance schedules for the Asset.
- Telematic ID: The ID of the device used to track the Asset’s telematics.
- Telematic Vendor Number: The ID of the telematics vendor responsible for supplying the Asset’s telematics device.
- Warranty Expiry Date: The date on which the Asset’s warranty expires.
- Installation Date: For Assets previously owned by your organization that were sold to a Customer, the date on which the Asset was installed at its current location.
- Extended Warranty Expiry Date: The date on which the Asset’s extended warranty expires, if applicable.
