Labor Special Pricing
It is now possible to establish customer-specific pricing for Work Order labor in Texada SRM!
This update expands SRM’s existing Product, Group, and Class special pricing capabilities, giving you more precise control over how you charge your customers for Work Orders. Reward repeat customers with discounted rates and eliminate the need to manually override labor pricing each time you create a Work Order!
Configuration
To set up labor special pricing in Texada SRM, follow the steps below.
- Open Texada SRM and navigate to System Maintenance → Configure System Settings → Operations → Price Codes.
- Press ENTER, then click “Add” to add a new Price Code, or click the three dots
under the “Details” column to edit an existing Price Code.
- If creating a new Price Code, fill out the information for your Price Code. Make sure to select a Type of “D - Discount Off List Price”. Once you’re finished, click “Accept” to open the Price Codes window.
- If creating a new Price Code, fill out the information for your Price Code. Make sure to select a Type of “D - Discount Off List Price”. Once you’re finished, click “Accept” to open the Price Codes window.
- Select “Labor Special Pricing” to establish the labor discounts that will be applied.
- You can now add the labor codes to which you want to apply special pricing. Click the “Add” button to add a row to the table, then select a code from the “Type” drop-down.
There are two types of special pricing: flat rate and percentage discount. To set a flat rate special price, enter a dollar amount into the “Amount” column. For example, entering an Amount of “60.00” for labor code “L” will cause all labor charged under that code to cost a flat 60 dollars per hour.
To create a percentage discount, enter a percentage into the “Percent” column. For example, entering a Percent of “10.00” for labor code “IL” will cause a $120 charge under that code to be discounted to $108.
Note that you can’t apply an Amount and Percent discount to the same labor code!
Once you are finished setting discounts, click “Accept” to return to the Price Codes window. - Select “Associated Customers” to select which customers will receive the discounts.
- Click the “Add” button to add a new row to the table, then enter a customer number or search for a customer to add to the list. Once you have finished adding customers, click “Accept”.
- You’re finished! From now on, whenever you create a Work Order for any of the customers you added in step 7, labor pricing will automatically be updated to reflect the discounts you applied in step 5. The below example shows the difference in labor pricing between a regular customer and a customer with a 10% discount applied.
