GateWay - Restrict Credit Card Transactions
Introduction
Credit cards offer a quick and convenient way for your customers to pay when doing business with your company. However, credit card processing fees can also have a detrimental effect on your profit margins, especially when applied to smaller transactions. For this reason, GateWay now provides the ability to disable credit card payments for serialized parts.
This feature will only restrict self-serve credit card payments made by visitors to your eCommerce website. Your staff will still be able to use Texada SRM to process credit card payments for serialized parts.
Disable Credit Card Payments
To disable credit card payments for serialized parts, open the new GateWay Administration Panel and select Settings → Store Config from the left navigation menu. Then, check the “Prohibit Texada Pay Credit Card Invoice Payments For Serialized Parts” checkbox:
While this option is enabled, visitors to your eCommerce website will not be able to pay for serialized parts using credit cards. When a customer attempts to do this, they will receive an error message that reads “Credit card payment is not accepted for serial parts”:
This error message will appear as long as there was at least one serialized part in the customer’s shopping cart when they tried to check out. Transactions containing no serialized parts will go through as normal.
