Texada Web - Updates to Customer-Owned Equipment
Introduction
New updates have come to customer-owned assets in Texada Web! These changes make it easier than ever to create and manage assets owned by your customers.
Create / Edit Customer Owned Asset
A number of quality-of-life updates have been made to the Create / Edit Customer Owned Asset screen! This is the screen used both when adding a new customer-owned asset and when viewing an existing customer-owned asset. Both of these options are available under “Inventory” in the left navigation menu.
- Equipment Type
A new “Equipment Type” drop-down field has been added. This drop-down allows you to classify the customer-owned assets in your system. The options available in this drop-down can be customized from the Company Settings screen - see “Company Settings - Equipment Types” for more information! - Manufacturer
Previously a free text field, this field is now a searchable drop-down list of the product makes in your system. This change makes it much easier to select valid manufacturers for your customer-owned equipment. The options available in this drop-down list are determined by the Product Makes & Models utility in Texada SRM. - Date of Manufacture
This field is now mandatory. - Reference Group #
This field, similar to the “Manufacturer” field, now allows you to search the list of Product Groups in your system, making it much easier to enter consistent product information for your customer-owned assets.
Thanks to these updates, your staff will have an easier time maintaining complete and accurate records of customer-owned equipment!
Company Settings - Equipment Types
A new “Equipment Type” tab has been added to the Company Settings screen. This tab allows you to customize the options available in the Equipment Type drop-down.
To access this screen, open the user menu by clicking on your name in the top bar, then navigate to Settings → Company Settings → Equipment Type.
Click the pencil icon next to an equipment type to edit it, or click the bin icon
to delete it.
Click the “Add New” button in the top-right corner of the screen to add a new equipment type. Enter the type’s name and description, then click “Save” to add it to the list.
Customize the list of equipment types to suit the needs of your organization!
