Equipment CRM - PSE Type Updates
The following updates will be automatically applied to all Equipment CRM systems for which PSEs are enabled.
Prioritized Service Events, or PSEs, are proactive maintenance alerts generated by Caterpillar and communicated to equipment dealers. As they are an important source of parts and service leads for equipment dealers, Equipment CRM has the ability to ingest Caterpillar PSEs and use them to generate Opportunities – see “SalesLink PSE Integration” for more information!
With this update, changes have been made to the list of PSE Types available for selection for Caterpillar-originated PSE Leads.
PSE Type List
As of this update, the list of selectable PSE Types has been adjusted to the following 15 options, as established by Caterpillar:
- Condition Monitoring
- CVA
- CVA - Customer Level
- ESC/EPP
- GET
- GET - Customer Level
- Hydraulics
- Hydraulics - Customer Level
- H&C
- H&C - Customer Level
- Other/Misc./General repairs
- PM
- PM - Customer Level
- Rebuild
- Undercarriage
This change ensures that all PSE Leads will have a PSE Type that is compatible with Caterpillar’s organizational system. The above options will be automatically added to the list of available PSE Types for your system. Options that do not match these types will be hidden.
Opportunity Details
When selecting a PSE Type for an Opportunity in Equipment CRM or Parts & Service Quoting, the available options will be limited to the 15 options approved by Caterpillar:
Manage - PSE Type Mapping
The Manage - PSE Type Mapping secured module in Equipment CRM - Executive allows administrators to manage the list of PSE Types.
As of this update, the 15 options approved by Caterpillar will automatically be added to this screen. The “Add” button on this screen has also been removed, preventing administrators from adding custom PSE Types. Existing custom PSE types will be retained, but will be set not to display. Caterpillar-prescribed PSE Types can still be hidden from this screen, though this is not advised.
While it is still currently possible to delete or rename Caterpillar-prescribed PSE Types, Texada strongly advises against doing so, as this can cause unexpected behavior.
