Equipment CRM - PSE Hyperlinks

Prioritized Service Events, or PSEs, are proactive maintenance alerts generated by Caterpillar and communicated to equipment dealers. 

When publishing a new PSE, Caterpillar will often include additional information about the PSE via an external URL. Previously, this URL would only be included in the Opportunity’s notes as plaintext when the PSE was imported into Equipment CRM. As of this update, this URL is now published to the Opportunity’s Links section instead, making it much easier to access!

Equipment CRM - PSE Type Updates

Equipment CRM has been updated to align with Caterpillar’s list of 15 approved PSE Types for Prioritized Service Events (PSEs). These types are now automatically added to all systems with PSEs enabled, ensuring compatibility with Caterpillar’s organizational system.

The behavior of the "Contact" field when creating a new Activity has been updated.

  • If the Customer for which the Activity is being created only has one Contact, they will automatically be set as the Contact for that Activity.
  • If the Customer has multiple available Contacts, the Contact field will be left empty.

Equipment CRM Mobile now requires users to convert Temp Customers to Prospects before promoting Leads for these customers into Opportunities, aligning its behavior with the desktop application.

Resolved issues affecting talk-to-text functionality for Work Order notes:

  • iOS: Leaving notes in excess of 10 lines would cause the note to be blanked and continue recording from the 11th line onwards.
  • Android: Leaving notes in excess of 2 lines would stop recording and force the user to go to the next note.
