Introduction
Field Sales Tracker’s mobile-first design helps your team maximize productivity in the field, bringing sales route management, customer tracking, and daily activity into the palm of your hand. Adding its native integration with Texada’s Service, Rental, and Financials platform pulls critical customer and contract data straight from the source, ensuring that field reps and back-office teams always operate in tandem using real-time, synchronized information.
Key benefits of the integration include:
- Streamlined Prospecting: Using Field Sales Tracker, operatives can track sales prospects, plan their daily routes, and log activities, all from their mobile device.
- Automated Customer and Contact Creation: Creating a new Customer or Contact record in Field Sales Tracker will automatically create a corresponding record in Service, Rental, and Financials, saving time and ensuring that both systems are operating on the same information.
- Contract Detail Visibility: By viewing Contract details, status, and financial summaries directly on their mobile device, sales and field staff can stay up-to-date on what’s happening with each customer even when on the road.
- Targeted Updates: Updates to Customer and Contact records are automatically shared between systems. Only the fields that were edited are synchronized, preventing records from being accidentally overwritten.
Synchronization Rules
Three data entities are included in the data synchronization between Service, Rental, and Financials and Field Sales Tracker: Customers, Contacts, and Contracts.
Customers
A Customer record represents a construction company or other organization that is actively dealing with your organization. A Prospect record is a pre-Customer record representing a company that may deal with your organization in the future.
- Prospect accounts
Prospect accounts are exclusive to Field Sales Tracker and will NOT be synchronized with Service, Rental, and Financials. - Promoting Prospects to Customers
Promoting a Prospect account to a Customer account in Field Sales Tracker WILL trigger the creation of a corresponding Customer record in Service, Rental, and Financials. - Changing Customers back into Prospects
Changing a Customer account back into a Prospect in Field Sales Tracker will NOT affect the corresponding Customer record in Service, Rental, and Financials. - Deleting Customers in Field Sales Tracker
Deleting a Customer record in Field Sales Tracker WILL cause the corresponding record in Service, Rental, and Financials to be marked as Inactive. - Deleting Customers in Service, Rental, and Financials
Deleting or disabling a Customer record in Service, Rental, and Financials will NOT delete the corresponding record in Field Sales Tracker. Manual clean-up is required in this case. - Editing Customers
Editing an existing Customer record in either Service, Rental, and Financials or Field Sales Tracker WILL cause any modified fields to be synchronized across systems.
Contacts
A Contact record represents an individual working at a Customer company.
- Associating Contacts with Customers
Every Contact record MUST be associated with an existing Customer account. This rule applies in both Field Sales Tracker and Service, Rental, and Financials. - Associating Contacts with Prospects
Contact records associated with Prospect accounts will NOT be synchronized with Service, Rental, and Financials. - Creating Contacts
Creating a Contact record in Field Sales Tracker WILL trigger the creation of a corresponding Contact record in Service, Rental, and Financials, IF AND ONLY IF the Contact is associated with a Customer account. - Deleting Contacts in Field Sales Tracker
Deleting a Contact record in Field Sales Tracker WILL cause the corresponding record in Service, Rental, and Financials to be marked as Inactive. - Deleting Contacts in Service, Rental, and Financials
Deleting or disabling a Contact record in Service, Rental, and Financials will NOT delete the corresponding record in Field Sales Tracker. Manual clean-up is required in this case. - Editing Contacts
Editing an existing Contact record in either Service, Rental, and Financials or Field Sales Tracker WILL cause any modified fields to be synchronized across systems.
Contracts
A Contract is a binding document between a renter and their Customer containing the details of an equipment rental or sale.
- Service, Rental, and Financials as source of truth
Service, Rental, and Financials will remain the authoritative source of truth for all Contract records. - Reading Contract data in Field Sales Tracker
Contract data WILL be synchronized and displayed in Field Sales Tracker on a read-only basis. Contract information CANNOT be edited in Field Sales Tracker.
Synchronization Timing
The timing of data synchronization between Service, Rental, and Financials and Field Sales Tracker differs depending on where the update originates:

- Field Sales Tracker to Service, Rental, and Financials: Updates made in Field Sales Tracker are pushed to Service, Rental, and Financials in near-real-time as changes occur.
- Service, Rental, and Financials to Field Sales Tracker: Updates made in Service, Rental, and Financials are processed and pushed to Field Sales Tracker on an hourly basis.
