Credit Card Scanners
Magnetic stripe card readers can be used to scan credit card information into SRM. To activate the scanning for credit cards you will need to change the Card column in System Maintenance -> Configure System Settings -> Accounting -> Accounts Receivable -> Method of Payment Codes to S for scan.
Credit card information will print on documents as circled in red below:
Note that for security and privacy reasons, only the last 5 digits of the credit card number prints on the document. The authorization number must be obtained using your current call method as scanning the card in SRM will not communicate directly with credit card clearing companies.
Credit card information is saved in the Additional Information window for the customer in Accounts Receivable -> Customer Information. Again, for security and privacy reasons, only the last 5 digits of the credit card number is stored.
