Introduction
An Invoice is a commercial document issued by a seller to a buyer containing the details of a sale or rental transaction. In Rental Management and Service Management, Invoices are automatically generated when certain criteria are met - for example, when a Rental Return or Work Order is completed. Invoices can also be created manually.
The following article will detail the process of manually creating an Invoice in Financials (Next).
Create an Invoice
To create a new Invoice in Financials (Next), follow the steps below.
- Log in to Financials (Next) and select Invoices → Create Invoice in the left navigation menu. This will open the Create Invoice screen, where you can fill out the details of the Invoice.
- Fill out the information for your Invoice, including at least an Invoice Date, Division, Location, Salesperson, Customer, and at least one Product or Service.
- Once you are finished, click “Create Invoice” to create your Invoice.
- If the Invoice you created was a cash Invoice (i.e. if the “On Account” checkbox in the Payments panel was unchecked), you will be automatically prompted to submit payment upon creation. See “Pay an Invoice” for more information.
