SalesLink - Executive: Activity Type and Activity Group Type Management
This feature is not configurable and is available to all CloudLink users. Access to these new tools is enabled via Secured Modules.
An Activity is an interaction between a salesperson and an existing client or prospect - for example, a phone call, an email, or an in-person meeting. Individual Activities are categorized into Activity Group Types - for example, the ‘Lunch Meeting’, ‘Appointment’, and ‘Job Site Visit’ Activity Types might all belong to the ‘Face to Face’ Activity Group Type.
Historically, making changes to the Activity Types or Activity Group Types in your system has required submitting a support ticket with Texada staff. Thanks to two new management tools coming to SalesLink - Executive, it is now possible for administrators to manage Activity Types and Activity Group Types directly from SalesLink!
Activity Type Management
This tool contains a list of all the Activity Types in your system, and allows you to add, edit, and delete Activity Types.
To reach this tool, open SalesLink - Executive, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select “Manage - Activity Type” from the menu.
- Click the Add button in the top-right corner of the table to add a new Activity Type.
- Click the Edit button next to an Activity Type to edit it, then click Save to save your changes. You can edit an Activity Type’s name, default status, Activity Group Type, and display icon.
- Click the Delete button next to an Activity Type to delete it. You can only delete Activity Types with no associated Activities (Total Activities = 0).
Activity Group Type Management
This tool contains a list of all the Activity Group Types in your system, and allows you to add, edit, and delete Activity Group Types.
To reach this tool, open SalesLink - Executive, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select “Manage - Activity Group Type” from the menu.
- Click the Add button in the top-right corner of the table to add a new Activity Group Type.
- Click the Edit button next to an Activity Group Type to edit it, then click Save to save your changes. You can edit an Activity Group Type’s name and toggle its PAR Related value. Enabling this checkbox for an Activity Group Type will cause all Activities belonging to that Group to be counted towards the customer’s Planned Annual Review (PAR) metric.
- Click the Delete button next to an Activity Group Type to delete it. You can only delete Activity Group Types that have no associated Activity Types (Type = 0).
