How to edit an Event in Service Agreement Quoter.
Quick Reference
- An Event represents a particular service job that can be performed on a piece of equipment.
- Events can be edited from the following locations in Service Agreement Quoter:
- Standard Jobs: Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select “Standard Jobs” from the left navigation menu. Click on an equipment family, then on an equipment model and serial number range to view its available Events. Click on an Event to edit it.
- Flat Rate Exchange: click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select “Flat Rate Exchange” from the left navigation menu. Click on a Flat Rate Exchange to view its available Events. Click on an Event to edit it.
Introduction
An Event represents a particular service job that can be performed on a piece of equipment. Events can be added to Quotes in Service Agreement Quoter to build out a list of tasks to be completed as part of that Quote.
Events can be edited from the following locations in Service Agreement Quoter:
- Standard Jobs
To access the Standard Jobs page, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select “Standard Jobs” from the left navigation menu. Click on an equipment family to view the equipment models and serial number ranges within that family, then click on a model and serial number range to view its available Events. Click on an Event to edit it. - Flat Rate Exchange
To access the Flat Rate Exchange page, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select “Flat Rate Exchange” from the left navigation menu. Click on a Flat Rate Exchange to view its available Events. Click on an Event to edit it.

Edit Event
- Event Name
The Event’s name. - Category
The Event’s category. Categories are managed via the Categories page. - Enabled Checkbox
Check this box to enable the Event for the selected equipment model and serial number range. Uncheck this box to disable it. - Job Code
The 3-digit SMCS code indicating the type of work the Event represents (assemble, repair, align, adjust, etc.) - Component Code
The 4-digit SMCS code indicating the component to which the Event applies. - Modifier
The Event’s modifier SMCS code. Modifier codes allow you to further define the part of the equipment on which the service is being performed. - Qty Code
The Event’s quantity SMCS code. - Job Location
The Event’s job location SMCS code. - Work App
The Event’s work app SMCS code. - Job Condition
The Event’s job condition SMCS code. - Cab Type
The Event’s cab type SMCS code. - Business Group
The Event’s business group SMCS code. - Shop/Field
Select whether the Event is a Field (F) job or a Shop (S) job. - Start Frequency
The Event’s Start Frequency, measured either in time (hours, days, weeks, months, or years) or usage (kilometers or miles) according to the Event’s Frequency Type. An Event’s Frequency is used to calculate Contract periods. For more information, see “Event Frequency”. - Frequency
The Event’s Next Frequency, measured either in time (hours, days, weeks, months, or years) or usage (kilometers or miles) according to the Event’s Frequency Type. An Event’s Next Frequency is used alongside its Start Frequency and the number of Occurrences to calculate Contract periods. For more information, see “Event Frequency”. - Default Price
The default price of the Event when added to a Quote. - Add Store Price Button
Click to add store-specific pricing to the Event. Clicking this button multiple times will allow you to add multiple Store/Price pairs to the Event. - Store
Select a store to receive store-specific pricing for the Event. - Price
Set a price for the Event at the selected store. - Remove Store Price Button
Click the bin icon next to a Store/Price pair to remove it. - Save Button
Click to save your changes. - Cancel Button
Click to close the Edit Event window without saving your changes.
