The Quote Details Screen

An overview of the Quote Details screen in Service Agreement Quoter.

Quick Reference

  • The Quote Details screen in Service Agreement Quoter contains all of the information about an existing Quote. There are two different ways to reach the Quote Details screen:
    • Via the Quote List: By clicking on a Quote’s Quote No.
    • Upon Quote Creation: By clicking the “Save” button on the Create Quote screen.
  • The Quote Details screen is divided into the three sections.
    • The top section, the Quote Header bar, contains useful information about the Quote. Click the top of the bar to expand or collapse it.
    • The bottom-left section, the navigation menu, allows you to navigate the Quote’s various subscreens. The options available in this menu will change depending on the Quote’s status, revision history, and included equipment. 
    • The bottom-right section contains the current subscreen.
  • The action buttons directly below the Quote allow you to change the Quote’s status. Different options will be available depending on the Quote’s current status.

Introduction

The Quote Details screen in Service Agreement Quoter contains all of the information about an existing Quote, including its header information, customer details, and revision-specific details such as attached documents and equipment information. The Quote Details screen is a key component of SAQ, and staff members who manage Quotes will spend the majority of their time on this screen and its subscreens.

There are two different ways to reach the Quote Details screen:

  1. Via the Quote List
    When viewing the Quote List, click on a Quote’s Quote No (highlighted in blue) to view its details.
  2. Upon Quote Creation
    Immediately after creating a new Quote (clicking the “Save” button on the Create Quote screen), the User will automatically be redirected to that Quote’s details screen.

Quote Details Screen

The Quote Details screen is divided into the three sections. The top section, the Quote Header bar, contains useful information about the Quote. The bottom-left section, the navigation menu, allows you to navigate the Quote’s various subscreens. The bottom-right section contains the current subscreen.

The options available in the navigation menu will change depending on the Quote’s status, revision history, and included equipment. Please note that the below screenshot has been edited to show all possible options at once.

  1. Quote Header Bar
    Contains basic information about the Quote. Click on the bar to expand or collapse it.
    1. Quote Panel
      Contains basic information about the Quote, including its Quote No., Status, and Contract Type.
    2. Customer Panel
      Contains information on the Customer for whom the Quote is being built.
    3. Sales Team Panel
      Contains information on the Quote’s owner and manager.
    4. Summary Panel
      Contains information on the Quote’s creation, update history, and current status.
  2. Navigation Menu
    This menu allows you to navigate the various subscreens of the Quote Details page. Click the left arrow to collapse it, and the hamburger icon to expand it again once collapsed.
    1. Quote Header
      Contains information on the Quote, including its owner, Customer, Customer Contact(s), equipment defaults, and revision history. 
    2. CVA Contract
      Contains information on the CVA Contract created from the Quote. This option will only appear after the “Create Contract” button (3d) has been clicked and a CVA Contract created for the Quote in question.
    3. Customer Details
      Contains information on the Quote’s Customer pulled from Customer Search.
    4. Revision Details
      Each of the Quote’s revisions will be listed separately in the navigation menu. Click the down arrow next to a revision to view its attached documents and equipment. Click on a revision to view details for that revision, including financial information and the equipment list.
    5. Revision Documents
      This option will appear once under each of the Quote’s revisions. Click to view external documents attached to that revision.
    6. Equipment Information
      This option will appear once under each of the Quote’s revisions for each piece of equipment included in that revision. Click to view information on that piece of equipment, including its Event list, year over year activity, Contract history, and PM history.
  3. Quote Actions
    These buttons allow you to change the status of the Quote. Different options will be available depending on the Quote’s current status.
    1. Submit for Approval: Open Quotes only. Changes the Quote’s status to Submitted For Approval.
    2. Approve: Submitted Quotes only. Changes the Quote’s status to Approved.
    3. Won: Approved Quotes only. Changes the Quote’s status to Won. 
    4. Create Contract: Won Quotes only. Creates a CVA Contract for the Quote.
    5. Lost: Open, Submitted, Approved, and No Deal Quotes only. Changes the Quote’s status to Lost. 
    6. No Deal: Open, Submitted, Approved, and Lost Quotes only. Changes the Quote’s status to No Deal. 
    7. Open: Won, Lost, and No Deal Quotes only. Changes the Quote’s status to Open.
    8. Delete Quote: Open and Submitted Quotes only. Deletes the Quote.
