The functionality of the Add Payment window has been updated, specifically to improve processing of Invoices for cash customers.

• Whenever the user creates an Invoice for a cash customer in Financials (Next), the Add Payment window will open automatically.
• It is no longer possible to close the Add Payment window by clicking outside of the windowed area. Instead, a “Return to Invoice” button has been added to the bottom-left corner of the window. Clicking this button will allow the user to make further changes to the Invoice. The Add Payment window will automatically reopen when the the Invoice is saved.
• If the user is unable to receive full payment for a cash customer’s Invoice at the time it is created, they can either put the Invoice on account, put the Invoice on hold, or will be forced to return to the Invoice to edit it, depending on the value of the “Allow On Account for Cash Customer” flag in Service, Rental, and Financials (Classic). The user will not be able to save the Invoice without selecting one of these options.
• If payment for an Invoice is received in full, it will be posted as a cash Invoice.
• If an Invoice is put on account, it will be posted as a cash short Invoice.
