Reset a Password in Texada Web

How to reset your own or another User’s password in Texada Web.

Quick Reference

  • Resetting your password in Texada Web involves sending a password reset email and following a link from that email. All Texada Web Users are capable of resetting their own passwords. If you are an administrator with access to edit User profiles, you can also send password reset emails to other Users.
  • To send yourself a password reset email:
    • Access the Texada Web login screen and click the “Forgot your password?” button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Enter the email address you use to login and click “Reset Password”.
  • To send another User a password reset email:
    • Log in to Texada Web and access navigate to the User Menu (click on your name in the top-right corner of the screen) → Settings → Company Settings → Users.
    • Click on the User whose password you’d like to reset.
    • Click the “Reset Password” button under the User Info panel.
  • To reset your password once you’ve received a password reset email:
    • Open your email inbox and look for an email from app@texadasofware.com with the subject line “Change Password”. Open this email and click the “Reset Password” button.
    • Enter and confirm your new password. Remember that passwords must be 8 characters or more in length, and must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
    • Click “Change Password”.

Introduction

If you or another Texada Web User is unable to login due to forgetting their password, follow the steps below to set a new password. In order to do this, you will need access to the inbox of the email address you use to log in.

All Texada Web Users are capable of resetting their own passwords. If you are an administrator with access to edit User profiles, you can also send password reset emails to other Users to assist them in resetting their password. 

Send Yourself a Password Reset Email

To reset your own password in Texada Web, follow the steps below.

  1. Access the Texada Web login screen and click the “Forgot your password?” button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Enter the email address you use to login and click “Reset Password” to send a password reset email to that address. You should receive a message that reads “Please check your email for a link to reset your password”.
  3. See “Reset Your Password” for the remaining steps.

Send Another User a Password Reset Email

If you are a Texada Web administrator with the ability to edit User profiles, you can send password reset emails to other Users in your system. This is a helpful feature if a User is having difficulty resetting their password, or if you want to enforce a password change.

  1. Log in to Texada Web and access navigate to the User Menu (click on your name in the top-right corner of the screen) → Settings → Company Settings → Users.
  2. Click on the User whose password you’d like to reset.
  3. Click the “Reset Password” button under the User Info panel to send the User a password reset email.
  4. The User can now follow the steps under “Reset Your Password” to reset their password.

Reset Your Password

Once you have received a password reset email, follow the steps below to reset your password. If you haven’t received a password reset email within a few minutes of it being sent, check your spam folder.

  1. Open your email inbox and look for an email from app@texadasofware.com with the subject line “Change Password”. Open this email and click the “Reset Password” button.

  2. You will be taken to a page where you can enter a new password. When entering your password, keep these requirements in mind:
    • Passwords must be 8 characters or more in length. 
    • Passwords must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
  3. Click “Change Password” to update your password. You should now be able to log in using your new password.
