How to view and edit the details of an existing Contract in Texada Web.
Quick Reference
- A Contract is a binding document between a renter and their customer containing the details of the rental or sale.
- Both current and past Contracts can be viewed and edited in Texada Web. To view the details of an existing Contract:
- Navigate to Contracts → List in the left side menu, then click on a Contract’s row to open its details.
- Navigate to Contracts → Calendar in the left side menu, then click on a Contract’s Asset rental period (represented by a blue bar) to open its details.
- By default, the information on the Contract details page will be read-only to prevent accidental edits. Click
in the bottom-right corner of the screen to edit the Contract.
- Using the buttons at the bottom of the screen, you can download, print, or email a PDF version of the Contract, have it digitally signed, or email it to the customer to request a deposit.
Introduction
A Contract is a binding document between a renter and their customer containing the details of the rental or sale. Existing Contracts, both current and past, can be viewed and edited in Texada Web.
View a Contract
To view the details of an existing Contract in Texada Web, navigate either to Contracts → List or Contracts → Calendar in the left side menu and locate the Contract you wish to view.
- On the Contract List page, clicking on a Contract’s row will open that Contract’s details. See “The Contract List Page” for more information.
- On the Contract Calendar, clicking on a Contract’s Asset rental period (represented by a blue bar) will open that Contract’s details. See “The Contract Calendar” for more information.
Once you have selected a Contract, its details page will open. This page will be read-only by default, allowing you to view, but not edit, the details of the Contract.
- Contract Info Panel
Contains basic information about the Contract, such as the division and location it applies to, and the rental period. - Customer Panel
Contains information on the customer who requested the rental or sale. This panel also includes site information. - Products Tab
Contains the list of products that the customer is renting or purchasing. - Services Tab
Contains the list of additional services, such as cleaning, refueling, or dismantling services, that the customer is purchasing alongside their rental. - Financial Panel
Contains financial information, such as any discounts to be applied and tax exemption codes. - Comments
Additional notes and comments, both customer-facing and internal, that have been added to the Contract by a dispatcher in Texada Web. - Deposits Panel
Contains information on any deposits that have been added to the Contract. Click the “Add Deposit” button to add a deposit to the Contract. See “Add A Deposit to a Contract in Texada Web” for more information.
- Attachments Panel
Contains links to any attachments that have been added to this Contract. Click the “Add Link” button to add a URL, or the “
Add Files” button to upload a file to the Contract.
- Totals Panel
Contains a summary of the costs and payments against the Contract. - Download PDF Button
Click to view and download a PDF version of the Contract. - Email Button
Click to enter an email address to send a PDF version of the Contract to. - Print Button
Click to view and print a PDF version of the Contract. - Sign Button
Click to begin the process of electronically signing the Contract. See “Electronically Sign a Contract in Texada Web” for more information. - Send for Deposit
Click to email the Contract to the customer and request payment. You will have the option of selecting an email address associated with the account or entering an address manually. - Edit Button
Click to begin editing this Contract. See “Edit a Contract” for more information.
Edit a Contract
To edit a Contract, click the button in the bottom-right corner of the Contract details screen. You will know that editing has begun when the fields on this screen are unlocked for editing, and the Edit button is replaced by two new buttons, Save and Cancel.
You are now able to make your desired edits to the Contract. Note that not all elements of an existing Contract can be edited, and some require the proper permissions to edit.
Once you are finished with your edits:
- Click
to save all of your changes and lock the fields again. Upon a successful save, you will receive a message that reads “Contract updated successfully.”
- Click
to cancel editing without saving your changes.
