Quick Navigation

December 2018 Version 2018.12

Mobile App

ASSET MAINTENANCE

  • Enhancement: When selecting the status of an asset, the code will now display. Previously, only the description / name of the status would display.

WORK ORDERS

  • Enhancement: If multiple mechanics are assigned to a single work order, only the last mechanic will be prompted to print an inspection tag. Previously, any mechanic would be able to print an inspection tag.
  • Enhancement: When issuing parts on a work order, the default quantity was “0”. This has been changed to be “1” instead.

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Enhancement: Mobile users who also have Dispatcher access will be able to navigate directly from the mobile app to the Dispatch screen via the hamburger menu.

October 2018 Version 2018.10

FleetLogic Mobile

  • Enhancement: We added the ability for mechanics to add comments to inspection form line items. Previously, you could toggle a Y/N response. Now, users will be able to add comments to each inspection form question / item, which will then relay back to FleetLogic Dispatch and SRM.
  • Enhancement: Users will now be able to create a work order from the asset maintenance screen (via the hamburger menu) as opposed to having to go to Work Orders > Create.
  • Enhancement: Users will now be able to view work orders relating to a specific asset from the asset maintenance screen. Previously, users could only view active work orders by going to Work Orders > Open or view historical work orders for an asset on a work order they have been assigned via the “History” button.

September 2018 Version 4.0

Mobile App

  • Enhancement: There were several discrepancies between iOS and Android versions of the FleetLogic app. In order to maintain consistency between the apps, we have changed several labels to ensure both apps look the same. No functionality changes were made.

August 2018 Version 3.9

Key Release Notes

These particular release notes address new features or code fixes that could affect your daily business practices and are therefore highlighted here. They are also detailed in the full release notes that follow.

Multiple Mechanics on a Work Order Our 3.9 release includes significant changes to the desktop and mobile FleetLogic platforms. These changes will permit multiple mechanics to be assigned to the same work order.

As part of the changes, we’ve implemented additional logic to dictate the calculation of the work order’s status as multiple mechanics may be assigned to a work order, resulting in multiple statuses. This logic, as well as the overall feature addition, has resulted in significant changes to the appearance of both the mobile and desktop applications. All changes will be fully laid out in the Help Center, located at www.help.texadasoftware.com, following the release.

Mobile App

WORK ORDERS

  • Enhancement: Previously, only Paused or Completed work orders would update the desktop application. This has been changed to also update an In Progress work order so that the Dispatcher has the most recent information. The Dispatcher will now receive photos, inspection form information, labour, and parts while In Progress.
  • Enhancement: If a work order has multiple inspection forms and multiple mechanics assigned, each mechanic will now be able to “claim” one of the inspection forms. Once claimed, no other mechanic can complete or modify the inspection form.
  • Correction: In our last release, we made significant changes to the way we manage parts. During that feature release, there was an error in the way the Quantity on Hand was being pulled from companies with more than one Division. This has now been corrected.
  • Enhancement: In addition to the mechanic being assigned a work order from the Dispatcher, the mechanic(s) will also be able to assign themselves / join an In Progress work order that has other mechanics assigned to it already, as well.

ASSET MANAGEMENT

  • Enhancement: When navigating to Asset Management, the user was only able to view historical / completed work orders. Now, the user will be able to see historical work orders as well as open / current work orders.

July 2018 Version 3.8

Key Release Notes

These particular release notes address new features or code fixes that could affect your daily business practices and are therefore highlighted here. They are also detailed in the full release notes that follow.

Parts Management on Mobile and Dispatch Changes were made to the way we handle parts from the mobile device to Dispatch, and through to SRM. Now, when a mechanic adds a part, the user will need to select whether the part is being issued (consumed immediately) or whether or not they’re requesting the part. A requested part will not affect inventory while an issues part will affect inventory.

Work Order Changes on Create Screen Mechanics will now be able to self-assign a work order during the creation workflow. Previously, mechanics had to create the work order, then navigate to the list of unassigned work orders and manually assign the work order to themselves. Additionally, dispatchers will be able to assign a work order to a mechanic during the creation workflow. Previously, the dispatcher had to create the work order, then locate it in the list of work orders to assign it to a mechanic. The users will now be able to bypass those workflows.

WORK ORDERS

  • Enhancement: When viewing work orders in the schedule, the vertical bar next to the date will now indicate the priority of the work order (green = low, yellow = moderate, red = critical).
  • Enhancement: If a work order has been reassigned by the Dispatcher, the mobile user will now get a notification of that action on their mobile device.
  • Enhancement: As part of our Parts Management changes, we have remove the “Add Parts” button and replaced it with two buttons: “Issue Parts” and “Request Parts”. This allows customers who have a Parts Manager to prepare the parts for the mechanic without reducing the on-hand quantity of the part(s). Once added, the user may edit these.
  • Enhancement: Mobile users will now have the ability to determine whether or not the purchasing agent needs to be notified when requesting parts.
  • Enhancement: Mechanics will now see the on-hand quantity of a selected part. If a user requested more parts than what is on hand, the difference will go on back order.
  • Enhancement: As part of our Parts Management changes, mechanics will now be able to override FleetLogic if the quantity of issued parts exceeds the on-hand part quantity (configured by Texada at customer request)
  • Enhancement: When creating a work order, users will be able to specify both the Division and Location. Previously, users could only specify the Division.
  • Enhancement: When creating a work order, users will now be able to specify the posting type, which will correlate and sync to SRM.
  • Enhancement: Mechanics will be able to assign a work order to themselves during the creation workflow. Previously, the mechanic had to create the work order, then locate it in the list of open work orders to request assignment. The user will now be able to bypass that workflow.

OTHER

  • Enhancement: Clicking the link for the Help Center will now direct users directly to the FleetLogic mobile section of the Help Center instead of the landing page.
