Context
As you complete a work order job, it is recommended that you fill out the work order details. For example, if you need to use oil while performing regular maintenance on a piece of equipment, you can use Texada Mobile to access the work order and document the oil you used by adding the part to the work order. The app enables you to update the work order as you go.
When working on a work order, you can add/complete/update the following information:
- Comments
- Photos
- Services
- Billable labor hours
- Parts
- Inspection forms

You can also view the details of a work order, providing you with a valuable reference while on a customer’s worksite. You can view the details of the following information on a work order:
- Worksite (via Google maps)
- Comments

Before You Begin
Required: Mobile device with internet connection and Texada Mobile installed, valid Texada Mobile account, valid login credentials and access permissions, existing work order in the Assigned, In Progress, or Paused status
Steps
To edit the details of a work order, do the following:
- In the Texada Mobile dashboard, tap Work Orders
The list of work orders that are assigned to you opens - Tap the work order you need to fill out
The work order details page opens - Optional: Tap pause
to pause or play
to resume working on the work order
The Select Labor Line popup opens - Tap the type of labor this work order involves. Tap N/A if there are no labor charges for this work order
- Optional: Tap the Site section to view the site information for the work order in Google maps

- Optional: In the Comments section, tap comment
, and then type a comment in the available field
- Optional: In the ASSET section, tap an asset to view the details of the asset

- Optional: To add a part to the work order, in the PARTS section, tap Add Part and follow the directions in “Add a Part to a Work Order in Texada Mobile”
- Optional: To add a service to the work order, in the SERVICES, tap Add Service and follow the directions in “Add a Service to a Work Order in Texada Mobile”
- Optional: In the LABOR section, tap a labor line to edit the line
- Optional: To add labor to the work order, in the LABOR section, tap Add Labor and follow the directions in “Add Labor to a Work Order in Texada Mobile”
- To claim and complete an inspection on the work order, in the INSPECTIONS section, tap the inspection form and then follow the directions in “Complete an Inspection Form in Texada Mobile”
- When you are finished filling out or updating the work order, do one of the following:
- If you are ready to complete the work order, tap Work Complete and follow the directions in “Change the Status of a Work Order to Complete in Texada Mobile”
- If you are not ready to complete the work order, tap pause
The work order is paused
The billable work hours on the work order stop accruing
