Edit an eCommerce Product Category in the Administration Panel

Describes how to edit the details of an ecommerce product category in the GateWay Administration Panel.

Edit the details of a product category when you need to update information about the category, such as any product attributes that apply to it, or the category photo.  Updates to your product category appear immediately on your ecommerce website.

Note: You cannot edit the category name in the Administration panel.  You must contact your company’s SRM(Systematic Rental Management) application administrator to make the change in SRM. 

Before You Begin

Required: Valid GateWay account, valid login credentials and access permissions, existing product category


To edit the details of a product category, do the following:

  1. In the Administration Panel header menu, navigate to Category > View Category
    The View Category page opens in the main area
  2. Locate the category you need to edit, and click Edit
    The Edit Category page opens for the selected category
  3. Make any needed updates, and click Save
    The category is updated and the changes immediately appear on your ecommerce website
