Release Highlights

Here are some of the most significant features and improvements that have been added in this release.

Default Table Views

It is now possible to establish default views for tables throughout the GateWay Customer Access Portal – including the Invoices, Rentals, Orders, and Tickets pages – via the GateWay Administration Panel. Using this feature, rental company administrators can control which information their customers see by default when navigating the Customer Access Portal.

Table Views

The new Table Views feature can be found under the CMS menu in the Admin Panel. Administrators can select a company and a page to edit, then select which columns should be displayed on that page and in what order. Clicking “Save” will set this view as the default for all Customer Access Portal Users at the selected company. Each individual User can still set their own custom views if desired.

Automatic SRM Account Linking

When a new User creates a GateWay account via the Customer Access Portal registration page, the system will now automatically determine whether that User has an existing SRM account. This is done by comparing the email address the User used to register with the Contact Information → Primary Email and Internet Info → Email Address fields of existing Customers in SRM. If a match is found, the two accounts will be linked, and the User will be given access to the appropriate Portal Customer parent account.

Users List Updates

The Users List page of the GateWay Administration Panel has seen some improvements, including:

  • A search bar has been added, allowing you to search the list of Users by User Name, User Email, and Company name.
  • A “Reactivate” button has been added under the Action menu for Users who have not yet activated their account. Clicking this button will resend the User's account activation email. This is useful if the original email was not received, was deleted accidentally, or expired before the User could activate their account.

Enhancement

GateWay Administrators are now able to configure their customers' default views for the various tables throughout the Customer Access Portal. This feature is useful for administrators who want to control what data is most prominent by default.

In the GateWay Administration Panel, navigate to CMS → Table Views to access the Table Views screen. Select a table from the "View Page" drop-down, then rearrange and show/hide columns as desired. Click the "Save" button to save your view as the default for all customers.

Once a default view has been created for a table, all GateWay customers that do not have a custom view set for that table will see the default view when they access that table.

GW-1441

Enhancement

A new "Auto Sending Pickup Request Email" field has been added to the GateWay Administration Panel under Settings → Config Settings. This field determines whether customers will automatically be sent a notification email when a Pickup Ticket is created.

If this field is set to Yes, an email will be sent to both the customer, and to the "Pickup Request Email" address specified either at the Division level (Settings → Config Settings → Division Setting → Edit) or at the company level (Settings → Config Settings).

If this field is set to No, an email will be sent only to the "Pickup Request Email" address.

GW-1433

Enhancement

A search box has been added to the Users List page at Users → Users List.

This box allows you to search the list of users by User Name, User Email, and Company name.

GW-1431

Enhancement

A "Reactivate" button has been added under the Action column on the Users List page at Users → Users List.

This button will only appear next to unactivated users, and allows GateWay Administrators to resend the user's account activation email. This is useful if the original email was not received, was deleted accidentally, or expired before the user could activate their account.

Additionally, when the user opens the email and clicks the link to activate their account, they will be taken to a page prompting them to set a new password for their GateWay account.

GW-1432

Enhancement

If a new user registers for a GateWay account and is not linked with an SRM Customer as per GW-1442, a notification email will be sent to the "ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE EMAIL" specified at Settings → Config Settings, informing them that a new user has registered.

GW-1387

Enhancement

A "Product Number" column has been added to the Products List page at Products → Manage Products.

The search box on this page will now also search by Product Number.

Enhancement

When a new user creates a GateWay account via the Customer Access Portal registration page, the system will now verify whether that user has an existing Texada SRM account, and if so, will automatically link the accounts together.

To determine whether or not the user has an existing SRM account, the system will compare the email address they used to register with two Customer fields in SRM: The Contact Information → Primary Email field, and the Internet Info → Email Address field. If either of these values matches the email used to register, the user is considered to be linked to that Customer.

- If the user is linked with a single Portal Customer record in SRM, the new user will be granted Customer Portal access to the relevant parent Portal Customer, and an account validation email will be sent.

- If the user is linked with multiple Portal Customers in SRM, account creation will succeed as normal, as if the user had no associated Portal Customer. An account validation email will also be sent.
