Context

Use the map to search for your drivers, technicians, work orders, and tickets in a visual way.

For example, if a technician or driver completes a work order or ticket, they can use the map to locate another open work order or ticket in the immediate area. As a counter worker, you can use the map to see where your drivers or technicians currently are or to track their progress.

The map functionality uses Google maps. If you move more than 500 meters, the FleetLogic mobile application updates your location as long as the location service is active on your mobile device.

Before You Begin

Required: Internet connection, valid FleetLogic login credentials and access permissions, existing ticket, existing driver, existing ticket, existing work order

Optional: Mobile device with an internet connection

Steps

Locate a work order on a map

  1. In the FleetLogic menu bar, navigate to Work Orders > Map
The map opens in the main area and displays any existing work orders

Note: By default, work orders with the Closed status are not displayed because the map would display your entire work order history, resulting in slow load times and difficulty visually locating the work order you need
  2. Optional: Use the Filter by Status, Priority drop-down to filter the information displayed on the map by work order status or priority. For example, if you need to see if a technician has completed a specific work order, you can filter the orders to only display those with the Complete status.
  3. Optional: Type a search term in the Search field, such as the work order number or technician name to search for a specific work order
The work orders on the map are narrowed to reflect your search terms
  4. Click a pin on the map to view the details of the work order

Note: If the work order does not have an address, the map defaults to GPS coordinates 0,0 by default

  1. Tickets appear as pins on the map. To use the map to locate a ticket in FleetLogic, do the following:

The list of existing tickets opens
  3. Click Map
The map opens in the main area and displays all existing tickets

Note: By default, tickets with the Closed status are not displayed because the map would display your entire ticket history, resulting in slow load times and difficulty visually picking out the ticket you need.
  4. Optional: Use the ticket status drop-down to filter the information displayed on the map by ticket status. You can check any statuses that apply to your search.  For example, if you need to see if a driver has completed a specific ticket, you can check COMPLETED to only display tickets with the Complete status.
  5. Optional: Type a search term in the Search field, such as the ticket number or driver name to search for a specific ticket
