Context

Schedule a pickup or delivery ticket if you need to deliver or pick up a piece of equipment within a specific time window or date range. For example, if your customer rents a boom lift from you for two weeks from today, you can schedule the delivery date to match the rental date, saving you time and effort later.

There are two methods of scheduling a ticket: through the ticket details, or by dragging and dropping. Schedule a ticket in the details page when you need to schedule a single ticket that you are currently working on. Use the drag and drop method when you need to schedule multiple tickets, coordinate ticket schedules in a visual way, or if you are not currently working in a particular ticket.

Note: Task tickets are typically created on short notice, and as such, they are not scheduled ahead of time.

You can use the drag and drop method to manually reorder the tickets in a driver’s queue to visually indicate which tickets must be completed first.  This enables you to place the higher priority tickets higher in the list, or to reorder the tickets in such a way as to improve the efficiency of the driver’s route.

Note: The tickets at the top of the driver’s list are the ones that are to be completed first, and the tickets at the bottom are completed last

Scheduled tickets appear in the Schedule function in the FleetLogic mobile application, where drivers can view them.  See: “View the Work Order and Ticket Schedule in the FleetLogic Mobile Application” for more information.

Steps

Schedule a ticket in the details of a ticket

    1. Navigate to Tickets > Pickup to view the list of tickets for equipment that are ready for pickup from your customer
    2. Navigate to Tickets > Delivery to view the list of tickets for equipment that are ready for delivery to your customer
    3. Navigate to Tickets > Task to view the list of task tickets
The list of existing tickets opens
  2. Click the ticket you need to schedule
The ticket details page opens in the main area
  3. In the GENERAL INFO panel, under Scheduled, click date and use the calendar field to select the scheduled date for the ticket to be completed
  4. Optional: Click time in the calendar field to set the scheduled time for the ticket to be completed
  5. Click Save
The ticket is scheduled and appears in the list of scheduled tickets
The ticket is assigned to the driver if you assigned it, and appears in their list of tickets in the mobile application

Schedule a ticket using drag and drop

  1. In the FleetLogic menu bar, navigate to Tickets > Scheduling
The list of scheduled tickets opens
  2. Optional: Click date and use the calendar field, or use the arrows to select the date you need to schedule a ticket on
  3. When you see the ticket you need to schedule, click the drag handle next to a ticket and drag and drop it on to the appropriate driver

The ticket is assigned to the driver
The ticket is added to the driver’s queue, and the number of tickets next to their name is updated
The ticket appears in the driver’s queue in the mobile application

    Notes
    • You can drag a ticket as follows:
      1. From the list of unassigned tickets to a driver (which automatically assigns the ticket to the driver)
      2. From a driver to another driver (which automatically unassigns it from the first driver, and automatically assigns it to the second
      3. From a driver into the list of unassigned tickets (which automatically unassigns the ticket from the driver)
    • You cannot move tickets between days.  If you need to reschedule a ticket for a different day, you must do so in the ticket details

Reorder the list of scheduled tickets

  1. In the FleetLogic menu bar, navigate to Tickets > Scheduling
The list of scheduled tickets opens
  2. Locate and click the drag handle on the ticket you need to reorder and drag the ticket into the appropriate spot in the list of tickets
The list of tickets is reordered for that driver
The driver’s ticket queue is reordered for that driver in the mobile application
Note: You can only reorder the tickets in a driver’s list
