An overview of the SalesLink Lead Creation Rules screen in Marketing Integrator.
In This Article
Introduction
The Marketing Integrator connects marketing automation platforms (MAPs) such as HubSpot with Texada SalesLink. This integration streamlines lead management and synchronizes sales and marketing efforts.
The SalesLink Lead Creation Rules screen allows you to establish the rules the system uses to create SalesLink leads from MAP deals. To reach this screen, open Marketing Integrator and select SalesLink Lead Creation Rules from the left navigation menu.
About Lead Creation Rules
Lead creation rules allow the Marketing Integrator to automatically create SalesLink leads when certain conditions are met.
Each lead creation rule includes a filter for MAP deals paired with a list of SalesLink lead properties. When the Marketing Integrator finds an MAP deal that matches the established filters, it will create a SalesLink lead with the specified properties.
By maintaining your list of lead creation rules, you can ensure that MAP deals are routinely and accurately reproduced in SalesLink.

- Order of Resolution
This rule’s order of resolution. Lead creation rules are resolved in ascending order of resolution: rule 1 is resolved first, followed by rule 2, then rule 3, and so on. Order of Resolution is important in cases where an MAP deal meets multiple lead creation criteria, as the lead will be created according to the logic of the first matching rule. For example, if an MAP deal meets the lead creation criteria of rules 2 and 5, it will be imported into SalesLink according to the logic of rule 2. - Rule Name
The rule’s name. This is for identification purposes only and does not affect the rule’s behavior. - Marketing Record Characteristics
This section contains a series of filters for MAP deals. Deals that match these filters will be imported into SalesLink with the properties listed in the SalesLink Lead Properties section (4).
Each filter has an operator and a value. For example, select “Starts With” as the Operator and “941” as the Post Code value to match zip codes located in San Francisco.- Campaign
Salesforce Marketing Cloud only: This filter allows you to search for deals associated with Salesforce campaigns that were originally created within Marketing Integrator itself, using the “Enroll Contact New Campaign” button on the Contact Enrollment page. - Post Code
This filter has a unique operator called “Matches Regex”. This option allows you to match postal codes using regular expressions, capturing a wide variety of scenarios with a single pattern. If you’re not familiar with creating regular expressions, using an LLM such as ChatGPT can be effective. - Marketing Contact in CRM
This filter allows you to modify Marketing Integrator’s behavior based on whether it is able to find a SalesLink influencer whose data matches the MAP deal. See “Marketing Contact in CRM Matching Logic” for a full breakdown of the matching process.- No Operator selected: Marketing Integrator will not change its behavior based on whether a matching influencer is found in SalesLink.
- Exists: Marketing Integrator will only create a SalesLink lead if an influencer match is found. This option is typically used to automatically assign the created lead to the MSR or PSSR for the customer.
- Does not exist: Marketing Integrator will only create a SalesLink lead if an influencer match is NOT found. This option is typically used to assign leads to ISRs, for example based on post code, or to simply leave the lead unassigned.

Marketing Contact in CRM Matching Logic
The full logic used to find a match for the “Marketing Contact in CRM” filter is as follows:
- If an email address is provided in the MAP deal, look for a SalesLink influencer with that email address.
- If a phone number is provided in the MAP deal, look for a SalesLink influencer with whose business, home, or mobile phone number matches the provided number.
- If more than one influencer is found, use the influencer whose associated company matches that provided in the MAP deal. If no company matches are found, use the influencer whose name matches that provided in the MAP deal.
- If there are still multiple matching influencers, use the one that was first created in SalesLink.
If a SalesLink influencer is found, the account / company / prospect to which they belong will be associated with the created SalesLink lead. If no matching influencer is found, Marketing Integrator will create a temporary company and contact to associate with the SalesLink lead.
