Context
Add a part to a work order when you arrive on site to complete a work order and parts are required to complete the order. For example, if you determine that a lift requires oil, you would add oil to the work order as a part.
There are three types of parts you can add to a work order in the mobile application:
- Issue:
- You have the existing part immediately on hand and intend to use it immediately on this work order.
- Add a parts issue when you need to communicate that the part is no longer available in real time to the rest of your team.
- Request:
- You do not have the existing part on hand and need to request it.
- Adding a parts request to a work order also adds the parts request to the list of requested parts in the FleetLogic web application.
- See: “Search the List of Requested Parts in FleetLogic” for more information on how parts requests appear in the web application.
- New:
- The part does not currently exist in the list of parts and is not part of your regular inventory
- This is a one-time part and does not permanently become part of your inventory. It only exists on the work order
After you choose the type of part you need to add, you search for the part in the list of available parts, and select the existing part. Then you are prompted to select the quantity of the part you are issuing/requesting. If you are issuing the part, then it is subtracted from the available quantity.
