Context

Search and filter the list of open, overdue, or rented equipment on contracts in the customer access portal to quickly locate the information about the equipment you need to view. You can customize the list to only display the information you need. 

Before You Begin

Required: Internet connection; valid GateWay account; valid login credentials and access permissions; existing rented equipment on a contract

Steps

Search the list of rented equipment

  1. In the customer access portal menu bar, do one of the following:
    1. Navigate to Rentals > Open to search the list of open rental contracts
    2. Navigate to Rentals > Overdue to search the list of overdue rental contracts
    3. Navigate to Rentals > Closed to view the list of closed rental contracts
    The list of rental contracts opens in the main area
  2. Optional: Type a search term, such as a product name in the Search for rentals field
    The list of rental contracts is narrowed to reflect your search term
  3. Optional: To filter the list of the rented equipment by date range, do the following:
    1. Click date range
      The Select Date Range popup opens
    2. Use the left-hand calendar to select the start date and use the right-hand calendar to select the end date for the date range
    3. Click APPLY
    The list of rental contracts is filtered to only include rentals that fall within the specified date range

 

Filter the values in a column in the list of rental contracts 

  1. In the customer access portal menu bar, do one of the following:
    1. Navigate to Rentals > Open to search the list of open rental contracts
    2. Navigate to Rentals > Overdue to search the list of overdue rental contracts
    3. Navigate to Rentals > Closed to view the list of closed rental contracts

  2. Click the hamburger menu in the header of the column you need to filter
  3. Click filter
    The column filter menu opens and displays a list of filter options that apply to that column
    Notes: The available filter options vary by column type
  4. Optional: Where applicable, check a column value to only display list rows that contain that value
  5. Optional: Where applicable, type a search term in the Filter By field to narrow the list of column values to match your search term
  6. Optional: Where applicable, use the calendars to select a date range to sort the column values by. Use the right-hand calendar to select the start date and the left-hand calendar to select the end date 

Customize the list of rental contracts

  1. In the customer access portal menu bar, do one of the following:
    1. Navigate to Rentals > Open to search the list of open rental contracts
    2. Navigate to Rentals > Overdue to search the list of overdue rental contracts
    3. Navigate to Rentals > Closed to view the list of closed rental contracts

  2. Optional: Click a column header to sort the contents of the column alphabetically
  3. Optional: In the list of rental contracts, click Columns
    The columns menu opens
  4. Optional: In the columns menu, do one of the following:
    1. Check the columns you need to include in the list of rental contracts
    2. Drag and drop the columns from the list of rental contracts into the columns menu to remove them 
    3. Check Filter… to remove all columns from the list of rented equipment
    The list of rented equipment is updated to reflect your selections
  5. Optional: Use the Rows per page drop-down to select the number of rows that displays on a single page of rental contracts
  6. Optional: Drag and drop the column headers in the list of rental contracts to reorder the columns
  7. Optional: Do the following to set a column in a particular location:
    1. Click the hamburger menu in the header of the column you need to set
    2. Click the hamburger menu
    3. Use the Pin Column drop-down to do one of the following:
      1. Click Pin Left to permanently set the column to the leftmost side of the list
      2. Click Pin Right to permanently set the column to the rightmost side of the list
      3. Click No Pin to unset the column and allow users to drag and drop the column
  8. Optional: Do one of the following to resize a column:
    1. Drag and drop the border of a column until the column is the desired width
    2. Click the hamburger menu in the header of the column you want to set, then click the hamburger menu and do one of the following:
      1. Click Autosize This Column to automatically resize the currently selected column to the width of the widest value in the column
      2. Click Autosize All Columns to automatically resize all columns in the list to the widest value in each column
